Journeying alongside you into growth!

My life shattered overnight in the fall of 2017. I was thrust into a new reality that I never dreamed I could survive. My husband died unexpectedly in a season of our life that had been so sweet: we were new parents to our precious son.

In the immediate days following the tragedy, I found myself making decisions for burial, planning a funeral, and navigating difficult conversations with law enforcement. Once the immediate chaos subsided, I stepped into the chaos in my heart and mind. Could I have prevented his death? What did I do wrong? Where was God to be found in all this? There was so much to process emotionally and mentally all while caring for our baby boy. To say that the rain fell, the floods came, and the wind blew and beat on my house seems like an understatement (Matthew 7:24-27). Only Jesus could rescue me from these painful circumstances and keep my house from crumbling to the ground.

Like many of you, I have experienced the complexities that come from enduring trauma. As I have moved forward from this tragedy, I’m learning there will continue to be adverse life circumstances that occur: in this world, we will have trouble.

Trauma can impact individuals differently based on duration and intensity of experiences; however, all trauma manifests itself in our bodies. We need trauma-informed approaches to support healing and recovery.

God often heals through inviting us to take a journey hand in hand with Him. I’d love to be a peer walking alongside you as we discover the ways trauma is impacting your life today. I want to coach you to partner with God in your healing journey. I believe He offers growth in the aftermath of our complex experiences.

Let’s take a step forward!

“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

James 1:4
