Trauma Recovery Coaching

Trauma can leave us feeling lost, questioning our beliefs, and carrying a heavy weight on our shoulders. But there is hope! Growing in the aftermath of trauma is possible. Together, we can explore a path forward—one that helps shed our trauma identity, gives a renewed sense of connection, and tools for finding safety again within the body that fought so courageously for us during the most challenging seasons of life.

Let’s move forward together on this journey!

When we work together:

Where You Are Now

You might experience feelings of fear, disconnection from yourself and others, and persistent overwhelm. You may notice extreme emotional reactions in your body. You may frequently shut down. However trauma is impacting you today, you know that something needs to change.

Where You’ve Been

You have endured a significant event or series of events (a million paper cuts will also leave a wound!) that required more emotional capacity than you had at the time. Overwhelming and/or repetitive adverse life experiences kept you from processing your experiences well.

Where You’d Like to Go

What if you knew that what you are experiencing is a normal reaction to abnormal events? What if you could experience deeper connection with yourself, others, and God? What if you found that you can walk on steady ground throughout the storms life will continue to bring? Resilience and growth are possible!

One on One Coaching:

In one on one coaching, we meet twice a month: two 50-minute sessions. The base commitment that I offer is for three consecutive months (six total coaching sessions). After three months of coaching, we can extended on a month by month basis.

The cost is $199/month. Invoices are emailed on the 1st of each month.

Growing in the aftermath of trauma is possible

〰️

Growing in the aftermath of trauma is possible 〰️

Here is what I believe to be true about you:

  • I believe you can develop a greater capacity to hold your emotional experiences.

  • I believe you can show up in the world feeling more safe and secure in your body, your relationships, and most importantly your relationship with God.

  • I believe you can move towards being awake and alive; present and engaged with those around you.

What to expect from me as your coach:

  • I am committed to supporting you with tools and knowledge that can assist in your recovery from trauma.

  • I am confident that you have the strength you need to move forward from your trauma and into the good plans God has for your future.

  • I will help you on your recovery journey not by telling you what to do or how to proceed, but by coming alongside you as you grow.

  • My role in your journey is to be a source of knowledge, encouragement, validation, and support when you feel overwhelmed or lost.

  • I will treat you with respect and care as we journey together.

  • Invoices are emailed on the first day of each month. Payment for the entire month is due before the first coaching session.

  • Coaching sessions are virtual (zoom) and last 50 min in duration. A simple questionnaire will be completed prior to the session in order for time to be maximized. Focus of the session is to become aware of the way trauma is showing up in your daily life. My role in your journey is to be a source of knowledge, encouragement, validation, and support as you move toward connection, safety, and finding emotional regulation.

  • I think it's important to note that counselors are not competitors-we can work in tandem with counselors. Coaching has a different approach and will not label trauma responses as disorders-clients are rather viewed as individuals who have survived challenging situations using the best coping mechanisms available to them at the time. Another difference is that coaching relationship is collaborative rather than the hierarchy you see with doctor/client or counselor/client.

  • I have a Social Work background as well as experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I have Master's degree from Asbury Seminary in Biblical and Theological Foundations and I am a Certified Biblical Trauma Trained Coach credentialed by Nothing is Wasted Ministries.

  • God was using my pain

Brooke has a unique gift of listening and patiently sat with me in my grief. She offered insight into my story and how God was using my pain. She also opened up doors for me to connect with other widows- the gift of close community that I so desperately needed and continue to be blessed by. Clearly the Lord is using Brooke as a conduit of life to others, a bringer of truth and hope to the weary of heart.

  • Safe, Heard, and Understood

Brooke has such a gentle spirit and an encouraging heart. I needed help processing some traumatic things, and she always made me feel safe, heard, and understood. I highly recommend working with her.

  • Compassion

I will forever thank the Lord for Brooke.  Her empathy, compassion, wisdom and discernment was a God-send. Brooke is down to earth, easy to talk to, and real.  She loves Jesus and His Word.  I highly recommend allowing Brooke to walk alongside you in your journey!

  • Quickly Understood

From my very first interaction with Brooke I was encouraged to be authentic and I quickly understood the value in someone CHOOSING to hold your hand and walk with you in your valley. Brooke has experienced major pain and trauma, but she shows up for others in major ways. Looking into her eyes provided hope for me, because God DIDN'T leave her. She was and is evidence that I can make it.

  • Freedom

The mix of Brooke understanding my specific rock bottom while also knowing how to teach me about navigating the pain gave me nothing less than divine breakthrough. Our conversations have pushed me into deeper relationship with Jesus and so much more healing than I knew was possible.

Those closest to me can see the difference and I feel a freedom that if I am being honest, I have never known. There aren’t enough words to describe how groundbreaking this process has been for me- I am a better mother, friend, and believer because of her anointing!
